Competitive Wages and Benefits:

  • Hourly wage for this position starts at $25.00 per hour up to $33.25 per hour depending on experience
  • $2.75 per hour perfect attendance bonus to be paid out weekly

Responsibilities

Maintenance Technician position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Fixing and maintaining mechanical equipment, buildings, and machines
  • Rebuilding, repairing, and/or replacing equipment/machinery/parts
  • Performing preventative maintenance
  • Installing equipment/machinery/parts
  • Inspecting and troubleshooting equipment and systems as directed by supervisor
  • Complete daily required reporting as well as additional reports as instructed
  • Collaboration with management and other departments regarding maintenance issues throughout the facility
  • Complete all assignments in priority order as delegated by the supervisor
  • Complete startup procedures when appropriate
  • Notify supervisor of any unusual conditions which may result in downtime
  • Complete assignment tickets in accurate and timely manner
  • Record all crisis and unscheduled work orders on the assignment ticket
  • Respond to crisis situations in an expedient manner
  • Maintain tools in good working order
  • Return all borrowed tools to owning area
  • Complete all work & safety training as designated by plant management
  • Respond to crisis situations as assigned by supervisor
  • Ensure that all appropriate safety procedures are followed
  • Participate in cost control measures including the return of all unused material to supply
  • Maintain refrigeration system
  • Other duties as assigned

This is a safety sensitive position.

 

This is an on-site position.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Maintenance Technician position should possess the following:

  • Demonstrated 2 years or more working in Maintenance
  • Mechanical skills and understanding of basic machine functions
  • Ability to use common tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and wrenches
  • Basic computer skills
  • Willingness to work and be on time when scheduled
  • Ability to read, write and speak English preferred
  • Strong work ethic and eye for detail
  • Exemplary safety record (with previous employer)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

 

The following experience is preferred but not required:

  • Ammonia/Refrigeration systems
  • Electrical
  • Food processing
  • 3 phase and electronic experience
  • Prior industry experience preferred
  • General knowledge of plant layout and production floor equipment and processes
